My Path…

Working with children has been both my life path and my life’s passion. Why? Because children live in the present moment.  Their lives are not about yesterdays or tomorrow, but the moment NOW. My mindfulness work is designed to help clients return to that original state of awareness in order to reconnect with their true selves and the world around them… with kindness and compassion.

Practicing and sharing mindfulness – both formally and informally – has led me to many new discoveries. Learning how to bring awareness to the present moment. Tuning into my breath. Learning how to BE.

My formal education includes a Masters in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College, a California Teaching Credential, and over three decades of teaching service in public and private schools. My mindfulness studies include MBSR professional training with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Dr. Saki Santorelli, Mindsight Exploration Series with Dr. Dan Siegel, Inner Kids Program with Susan Kaiser-Greenland, MBSR-T with Gina Beigel, and Mindfulness Self Compassion Core Skills Training with Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. Christopher Germer. In 2020 I expanded my horizons to include grief education with the David Kessler training program. (Grief Connects Us)

I have deep gratitude for my cast of mindfulness teachers which are headlined by Thich Nhat Hanh, Jack Kornfield, Jon Kabat Zinn, PH.D., Susan Kaiser Greenland, Dan Siegel MD, Diana Winston, the Ojai Foundation, my beloved husband, my two beautiful daughters and four legged family members.

In cultivating my mindfulness practice and living my life with kindness and compassion I find my clients are my new guides. Bringing mindfulness into the lives of children, teens, schools, families, and individuals brings me so much JOY!

I look forward to the opportunity to count you among my esteemed teachers.
